Mr. Robert E. Drew Jr., age 83 of Rockledge, died Saturday morning, January 21, 2012.

Mr. Drew was born in Laurens County and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Drew, Sr., and Virginia Landrum Drew, wife, Elizabeth Maddox Drew, and sister, Jerri Payne.  He was a retired salesman and a member of Rockledge United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his children, Sherry Whitmire, Rockledge,  Danny Maddox, Cartersville, Janice Haines, Woodstock, Ronnie Maddox, Bloomingdale, Priscilla Stanton, Metter; nieces, Gail Addison, Glenda Kimbro; nephews, Johnny Floyd and Felt Paine; and grandchildren. 

Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday, January 23, with the Reverends Malcolm Woodard and Andy Williams officiating.  Additional graveside services will be in held in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, on Tuesday, January 24, at 12 o’clock noon.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before services on Monday.
