Alma Kay Sweat Meeks, age 57 of Tarrytown passed away at her residence on Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 29, 2018 from the graveside in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Donnie Crosby officiating.

She was born in Fort Valley, GA, grew up in Brunswick and has made Tarrytown her home since the 1980s. Kay had worked at the Huddle House in Soperton and had been a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Brunswick.

She enjoyed crocheting, raising house plants and collecting wind chimes.

Kay is preceded in death by her father, Reverend William T. "Bill" Sweat, her former husband, Ricky Meeks, a brother, William Alan Sweat and a son, Timothy Robert "Robbie" Vaughn II.

She leaves behind, a son, Jeffery Bill Vaughn (Ashley), Tarrytown, a daughter, Tabitha Renee' Meeks, Dublin, her mother, Editha Sweat Hester (Rayford), Dublin, a sister, Beth Loosberg (Andres) and grandchildren, Zoey Vaughn, Hunter Loosberg, Lily Loosberg, a lifelong friend, Gary Sweringen and several other family members.
