Mrs. Amaryllis Mimbs, 85, of Adrian died Friday, May 5, 2017.

Mrs. Mimbs was born in Wrightsville and had lived most of her life in Treutlen County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Annie Lois Martin, and her husband, Manning Mimbs.  She was a farmer and had also been employed at Treutlen County Health and Rehab and Treutlen County Department of Family and Children Services.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Bubba) Beacham and Jo Ann (Danny) Dixon, all of Dublin; a son, Kendall (Natalie) Mimbs of Soperton; five grandchildren, Christy Wilson, Colby Mimbs, and Jalee Mimbs, all of Soperton, Julie (James) Kight of Dublin, and Jodi (Bruce) Blount of Vidalia; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Wilson, Chase Kight, Eileigh Blount, and Nolan Blount; and sister, Faye Johnson-Ginn of Sandersville.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 3 o'clock Sunday, May 7, with Pastor Gilbert Posey officiating.  Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.

Pallbearers will be James Kight, Chase Kight, Bruce Blount, Danny Dixon, Terry Bertosh, and Alvin Heath.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before the services on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Treutlen County Health and Rehab, P.O. Box 408, Soperton, GA 30457, in memory of Mrs. Mimbs.
