Mr. Benny Heath, age 87, of Soperton died Monday, November 27, 2017.

Mr. Heath was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Leemon Louis Heath and Ruby Page Heath, and sisters, Janie O'Connor and Carolyn Brantley.  He was a retired farmer and a member of Lothair United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Giles Heath; children, Al and Jackie Heath of Soperton, Karen and Charles Martin of Brunswick, and Sherrian and Randy Dorsey of Soperton; grandchildren, Chad (Kim) Heath, Will (Alice) Heath, Heather (Will) Ellis, Chris (Shannon) Martin, Luke Dorsey and Ben (Kana) Dorsey: great-grandchildren, Cejay Heath, Colby Heath, Coy Heath, Cassi Heath, Tucker Heath, Ansley Ellis, Tyler Ellis, and Madison Martin; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, with Reverend Mike Collins, Mr. Pat O'Conner and Reverend Bill Lee officiating.  Burial will be in Fowler Cemetery, Treutlen County.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chad Heath, Will Heath, Chris Martin, Luke Dorsey, Ben Dorsey, and Will Ellis.

The honorary escort will include Darrell Stephens, Wayne Braddy, Harrell Dorsey, Richard Dennard, Freddie Willis, Jerry Walden, Gary Dickens, Sammie Meeks, Mike Brown, Wesley Crowe, and Byron Page.
