Miss Bernice Phillips, age 76 of Soperton passed away on Sunday morning, July 10, 2022 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

Born in Emanuel County she was the youngest and last living daughter born to the late William and Mary Henry Phillips.  Miss Phillips grew up in the Covena Community before moving to Soperton.  She had attended the Gillis Springs School in Treutlen County.

She had been a resident at the Treutlen County Living Center for over fifteen years and had only recently moved into the Assisted Living and Care Unit.

Miss Phillips was proud of her faith and enjoyed her Sunday outings to attend local church services.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Marjorie Phillips.

She leaves behind: her neighbors and caregivers, Fred and Joyce Durden, Soperton, GA and many others that came to know and love her.

Funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Milton Thomas officiating.

Miss Phillips will be laid to rest beside her sister and adjacent to her parents at Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends are welcomed to visit at the funeral home, on Wednesday, from 4:00 pm until the hour of service.
