Mrs. Betty Ruth Gillis, age 83, of Soperton, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

She was born in Treutlen County, the daughter of the late Paul and Annie Toler Jackson.

She had been a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gillis.

Mrs. Gillis is survived by; two daughters, Kathy Hadaway, Glenwood, GA, Karen Pike, Douglas, GA, two grandchildren, Kevin Manning and Paula K. Pike a well as great grandchildren, Bryce Manning, Nikki Nipper, Ashley Nipper, Amber Manning and great grand children, Addison Nipper, Nathan Nipper, Mallorie Oberry, Ainsleigh Oberry and McKenley Northcutt.

Mrs. Gillis will be laid to rest beside her husband in Rosemont Cemetery.
