Mrs. Betty Lou Marina, age 71, of Scott died Monday, September 18, 2017.

Mrs. Marina was born in Laurens County and was preceded in death by her parents, Slayton D. and Mary Lou Jones Dudley, and her brothers, Bobby Dudley, Billy Dudley, Charles K. Dudley, and Jerry Dudley.

She was a retired dietician and was a member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene, Johnson County.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Marina; children, Belinda Kay (Jay) Mimbs of Dublin, Bryan Keith (Amanda) Marina of Woodbury, and Robert Kendall (Dawn) Marina of Rentz; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene at 11 o'clock Wednesday, September 20, with Reverend L. T. Logue and Reverend Tim Tharpe officiating.  Burial will be in Graham Memorial Church Cemetery, Laurens County. Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Foskey, Brad Foskey, Slade Bryant, Slayton Marina, Wes Bryant, and Will Bryant.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services on Wednesday and may be reached at the family residence.
