Mrs. Betty Love Poole, age 80, beloved wife of the late Lester Lanier Poole formerly of Soperton passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 27, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Soperton Trinity Assembly Of God with Reverend Albert White and Reverend Morris Brantley officiating.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Holton Chapel Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the church.

Born in Emanuel County, she was one of nine children born to the late George T. and Maggie Nora Edenfield Love. Her family moved to Treutlen County when she was a young teenager where she resided until she married Mr. Lester Lanier "Uncle Buddy" Poole in 1957. The newlyweds made their home in Savannah until returning to Treutlen County in 1976. Her husband deceased in 2004. She moved to Vidalia in 2013 to live with her daughter.

Mrs. Poole had attended Trinity Baptist Church in Meeks, GA, was a former member at Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church and most recently attended Blockers Chapel in Vidalia.

She enjoyed yardwork, tending her flowers and caring for animals.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Hilliard Love, Archie Love, Charles Love, a sister, Nancy Helen Love, a son, Ricky Ray Poole Sr., a grandson, Joseph Lanier Poole, a son in law, Thomas Ricky Palmer and a sister in law, Kathleen Love.

She leaves behind, her children, Mary Elizabeth Palmer, Perry Lanier Poole, both of Vidalia, GA, four brothers, George Leon Love, Treutlen County, GA, Edward M. Love (Martha Jo), Treutlen County, Thomas Dwight Love (Angie), Treutlen County, Andrew Roy Love (Brenda), Godley, TX, two sisters in law, Evie Dell Wilkes, Toombs County, Mary Love, Soperton, grandchildren, Mark Wilkinson, Mindy Gillis (Eric), Penny Poole, Nicky Cook (Joey), Ricky Ray Poole Jr., Andrew Cody Poole, Loretta Poole, Paula Poole, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews: Dale Boyette, Andy Love, Randy Love, Phillip Love, Devin Love and Dwayne Love.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: George Love, Sid Love, Roger Douglas, Larry Douglas, Darren Boyette, Brian Boyette and James Rountree.
