Mr. Bill E. Kight, Sr., age 94, of Soperton died Friday, February 17, 2017.

Mr. Kight was born in Montgomery County and lived most of his life in Treutlen County.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alvie Kight and Alice Williamson Kight, daughter, Patricia Ann Kight, brothers, Henry Kight, Sr., Rufus Kight, Robert Kight, and Bernice Kight, and sister, Tiny Yearty.  He served in the US Army during World War II and was retired.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Davis Kight; children, Bill E. (Mae) Kight, Jr. of Sylvester, Bobby (Verlyn) Kight of East Dublin, Deborah (John) Strickland of Dublin, and Gloria (Billy) Wilson of Scott; sisters, Barbara (Tommy) Heath of Adrian and Mary Braswell of Macon; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in Red Bluff Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 19, with Reverend Tom Lawrence officiating.

There will be no visitation.
