Billy Dale Thigpen, age 32, left his worldly body and entered his eternal resting place on July 27, 2020. He was born in Dublin, Georgia but resided most of his life in Montgomery and Treutlen County.
Those that knew and loved him will remember him best by his big blue eyes, sneaky smile, and fun loving spirit. He was a talented and hard working member of the construction industry and various areas of home improvement. Billy Dale loved fishing, hunting, cooking, and above all, his little girl. He was Baptist by faith.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jim "Spec" Thigpen (Lula Bell) of the Ponderosa Community, his maternal grandfather, Braxton Miller, maternal grandmother, Faye Larue Miller of the New Branch Community, and Uncle Don "Wezzy" Thigpen of Treutlen County.
Billy Dale leaves behind his daughter, Nevaeh Rene Thigpen, age 3 of Toombs County, mother, Vickie Sanders of Toombs County, father, Billy Thigpen (Cat) of Laurens County, two sisters, Wanda Woodward (Tracy) of North Augusta SC, Vickie Jenkins (David) of Tattnall County, one brother, Brent Jackson of Treutlen County, paternal grandmother, Maxine Dorsey (Harrell) of Treutlen County, six nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Tyler, Dylan, Logan, Katelyn and Kaisyn, four great nieces, Alana, Emerie, Averie, Hope and one great nephew, River, along with numerous uncles, cousins and his aunt Diane Thigpen.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton, Georgia with Reverend Hank Steverson officiating.
A balloon ceremony will follow on the front lawn.
