Mrs. Carol Rogers Hartley, age 70, beloved wife of David Hartley, of East Dublin passed away on Thursday evening, June 20, 2019.

Born in Dublin, she was one of four children born to the late J. W. and Bettye Spell Rogers. Her family lived in the Orianna Community of Soperton where she and her siblings grew up. Carol was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, Class of 1966. She worked at the Soperton Shirt Factory in Soperton, as well as the Diana Shop and Laurens Memorial Hospital in Dublin before beginning a 40 year career in the Pest Control Business. In 1976 she began working with Fred's Pest Control in Dublin before being bought and working with Arrow Exterminators from where she retired as Office Manager in 2016.

She was a faithful member of Bethsaida Baptist Church in Adrian.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Rogers, who passed away in 1982.

Carol leaves behind, her husband, David Hartley, East Dublin, GA, her son, Chad Avery (Natalie) and dearly loved granddaughters, Addison and Emerson Avery, all of Phoenix, AZ, a brother, Jerry Rogers (Katherine), Soperton, GA, a sister, Janice Jones (Ron), Gulf Port, MS and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Bethsaida Baptist Church, Adrian with Pastor Glenn Pulliam officiating.

Carol will be laid to rest, adjacent to her parents and brother, in Orianna Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Ryan Daniel, Kendall Graham, Jimmy Bailey, Carl Avery, Grady Cammack and Shawn Hartley.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Bethsaida Baptist Church, 196 GA Hwy. 86, Adrian, GA 31002
