Carol McCoy, age 63 of East Dublin passed away peacefully on Monday morning, September 2, 2019 at the Serenity Place in Dublin.

Born in Dublin, she was one of four children born to the late Joseph Elroy McCoy and Mary Frances Brantley McCoy-Bray. Carol grew up in Johnson County where she attended school. She had worked at Crown Tex in Wrightsville during the 1980s and Bill Joes and Bassett Furniture in Dublin before retiring in 2012.

Carol enjoyed yard work and flower gardening.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Joann Hutcheson.

She leaves behind, a daughter, Tonya Brantley (Nate), Wrightsville, GA, two sons, Chris Carter (Kelly) and Zachary McCord, Dublin, GA, two brothers, Charles McCoy (Barbara) and Glenn McCoy, of Wrightsville, GA, her longtime companion and caregiver, Glen McCord, East Dublin, GA , three grandchildren, Ramsey Bentley, Tucker Bentley, O'Chrissy Carter, a great grandchild, Bentlei Sellers and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Sammy Hall officiating.

Carol will be laid to rest in the Liberty Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Brian McCoy, Shelton and Jordan Smith, Kirk Dixon, Dale and Louie Crabb.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.
