Mrs. Charlie Mae Smith, age 89, formerly of Soperton passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2020 at Oxley Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lyons.

Born in Soperton, she was the eldest of eleven children born to the late Charlie and Louise Brazwell Coleman. She grew up in Soperton and in 1946 married Johnson County native, Albert Hinson "Jack" Smith. The Smiths moved to Macon in 1950 with her husband's job in the paper mill industry.   Her husband passed away in 1995 and in 1996 she moved to Lyons.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed yardwork and tending her flowers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by siblings: Marvin, Kendall, Wendall, Donald, Bobby Coleman, Sarah Conner and Jacquelyn Thigpen.

Mrs. Smith leaves behind, her son, Wayne Smith, Macon, GA, two brothers, James Coleman, Dublin, GA and Charles Coleman, Lyons, GA, a sister, Glynnis Collins, a grandson, Brandy Smith, a grand daughter, Shannon Scarborough, several great grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest beside her husband in Macon Memorial Park, Macon, Georgia.
