Mrs. Clara Mae Foskey Mosley, age 76 beloved wife of the late Douglas Cecil Mosley of Soperton passed away on Thursday morning, April 20, 2023 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Born in Treutlen County, she was a daughter of the late John M. Foskey and Lizzie Mae Norris Foskey. She lived for many years in Toombs County after marrying Mr. Mosley. She had worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Oxford Industries in Vidalia and Lyons before retiring after forty years. After retiring from Oxford she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Oxley Park in Lyons for an additional thirteen years.
Aunt Clara Mae enjoyed fishing, cooking, flower gardening and taking care of her cats.
She was a former member at Red Bluff Missionary Baptist Church and was a current member at the Zaidee Advent Christian Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by siblings, Rufus Foskey, Leodias Evans, Johnnie Merle Glover, Earl Foskey, Edward Foskey, Tommy Foskey, Georgia Mae Wilson and Lois Foskey Brantley.
Mrs. Mosley leaves behind her sister, Cleo Collins (Gary), Tarrytown, GA, a son, Dennis Mosley (Angie), Savannah, GA, special nephew and niece, Clint Brantley (Misty) and Leverne Milton (Michael), all of Soperton and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Chad Mosley and Billy NeSmith officiating.
Mrs. Mosley will be laid to rest beside her husband in Red Bluff Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm or friends and family may call at the home of Michael and Leverne Milton.
