Mr. Connie Willhite, age 68, of Dublin died Monday, August 29, 2016.

Mr. Willhite grew up in Treutlen County and lived most of his life in Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvert Willhite and Dorothy Nell Kittrell Willhite Lee. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of Shaw Carpet Industries in Dalton and attended Rosemont Baptist Church, Treutlen County. He was a great fisherman.

Survivors include his children, Jeremy Willhite of Cleveland, TN and Tammy Jones of Cartersville; grandchildren, Kayla (Gary) Self, Kiefer Jones, Anthony Jones, Ethan Willhite, and Kelsi Willhite; brother, Donnie Willhite of Soperton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, with Pastor Dwayne Clements officiating. Interment will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before the service on Saturday.
