Mr. Dale Hooks, 62, of Soperton, died Monday, July 18, 2016.
Mr. Hooks was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Mallie Harrison Hooks; and brothers, Wallace Hooks, Ward Hooks and Paul Hooks. He retired as Foreman with Graham Brothers Construction, East Dublin, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Soperton, and the R.A. Perry Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Buntie Thomas Hooks; his children, Sandra Kaye (Jason) Wade and Brad (Lori) Hooks, all of Waycross; grandchildren, Justin Wade, Mason Wade, Georgia Wade, Olivia Wade, Hunter Hooks, Noah Hooks, and Luke Hooks; sisters, Carolyn (Jim Paul) Barnes of Uvalda and Bernice (Johnny) Williams of Mobile, AL; brothers, Gerald (Becky) Hooks and Alton (Darlene) Hooks, all of Soperton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour before the service Wednesday.
