Mr. Daniel White age 43, beloved son of Martha Darden White Kersey and the late Jerry White formerly of Soperton passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in Swainsboro, he grew up in Soperton, Lyons, Jefferson and Collins.  He had lived in Collins for a number of years before returning to Soperton in 2022.   Daniel was a Foreman and Class A Lineman for Sumter Utilities, headquartered in Sumter, SC.  In addition to his overhead work, he was also a certified Underground Boring Rig Operator.  During his career in the Public Utilities arena, he was known for his speed for ascending and descending power poles, pulling cables normally pulled by mechanical means and winning various Lineman competitions.  Daniel retired and returned to Soperton in 2022.  He was an avid fisherman, spending as much time as possible on the pier at Jekyll Island, he enjoyed being out doors and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  His love of motorcycles allowed him to align himself with many like minded individuals always willing to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate, participate in fund raising rides for children in need and contribute to events to raise awareness of worthy projects to benefit others.  Daniel rode with various groups around Treutlen, Toombs and Tattnall Counties.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Kersey.

He leaves behind, his mother, Martha Darden White Kersey and her husband, Benton (aka "Daddy"), Collins, GA, siblings, Jeremy "Shane" White, Soperton, GA, Brian Kersey, Lyons, GA, Lisa Keene, Tammy Outlaw, LaVada Booth, Victoria Turner, a special nephew, Aiden White and countless other nieces and nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Rayford White officiating.

His family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 o'clock p. m. until the hour of service.

His fellow motorcyclists are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers, wear their leathers and park their bikes in the front parking area at Sammons Funeral Home for the service.
