Mr. Dannie F. Walker, age 86, formerly of Soperton passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from the graveside in Jackson Memorial Park, Jackson, SC with military honors. Dr. Gary Redding of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, SC officiated.

Mr. Walker was born in Soperton and had resided in Jackson, SC before moving to North Augusta, SC. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had retired from the E.I. Dupont Company at the Savannah River Plant.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Josie Muns Walker and Dr. Margaret DeVore Walker.

Survivors include his stepchildren, R. Douglas (Connie) DeVore, MD, Greenville, SC, Thomas L. (Terry) DeVore, Boiling Springs, SC, William G. (Karen) DeVore MD, Spartanburg, SC and Ann D. (Rusty) Marsh, Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Charles F. "Buck" (Ruby) Walker, Soperton, GA, Robert A. Walker, a sister, Dinah W. Phillips and several nieces and nephews.
