Mrs. Darthy Louise Brinson, age 86, formerly of Soperton passed away at her Beech Island, South Carolina home on Sunday morning, August 26, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from the graveside in Westview Cemetery, Soperton, GA.

Born in Soperton she was one of six children born to the late Robert E. Jackson and Clyde E. Collins Jackson. Mrs. Brinson had been a lifelong resident of Treutlen County prior to moving to Beech Island, SC in 2013. While living in Soperton, she had worked at Soperton Manufacturing where she retired as a Shift Supervisor in the mid 1970s.

She had attended the First Baptist Church of Soperton and Open Bible Baptist Church in Beech Island..

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, J. P. Gillis and Virgil Brinson, a son, Kenton Gillis and two brothers, Leron and Deural Jackson.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Rhodes, Beech Island, SC, two brothers, Darvin Jackson, Milledgeville, GA, Bobby Jackson, Senoria, GA, a sister, Mildred J. Payne, East Dublin, GA, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
