Mr. Seaborn David Edge, age 65 of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday morning, March 7, 2020 at St. Joseph's Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Born at home in Glenwood, he was the eldest of four children born to the late Vernon L. and Elizabeth Montez Johnson Edge. After graduating from Wheeler County High School in 1972 Mr. Edge moved to Jacksonville, Florida. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Waste Management Company until returning home in 1994. Upon returning home he pursued his passion for Farming.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising pigs and time spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Edge was a lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church in Glenwood where he was the Chairman of Deacons.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Edge, a son, David Lamar Edge and a nephew Dennis Edge.
He leaves behind, his daughters, Angie Hooks (Wayne), Soperton, GA, Sabrina Coleman (Brandon), Mt. Vernon, GA, son and daughter in love, Dale and Kendra Pickle of Glenwood, his sister, Denise Johnson, his brother, Dennis Edge, both of Glenwood, GA, grandchildren, Brylen Goss, Brynna Coleman, Peyton Pickle, Denton Pickle, Kelton Pickle, Weston Pickle, Keaton Pickle and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Clarence Best officiating.
Mr. Edge will be laid to rest in the Edge Family Cemetery, Glenwood.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Buddy Smith, Dale Pickle, Denton Pickle, Kelton Pickle, Weston Pickle and Keaton Pickle.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home or friends may call at the home of Wayne and Angie Hooks.
