Mr. Delmar L. Smith, age 84 of East Dublin passed away on Sunday evening, July 31, 2022 at Atrium Health - Navicent in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Born in Johnson County, he was one of seven children born to the late Lester Roosevelt and Mary Elizabeth Watson Smith  He grew up and attended school in Scott before enlisting and serving in the U.S. Army.  Upon returning home he worked in construction for a time before working at Ed Powell Television in Dublin.  Mr. Smith accepted an opportunity to work at Warner Robins Air Force Base as an Electronics Technician where he remained employed until retiring in 1982.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Oscar L. Smith, Aubrey Smith, Jack Smith, Roger R. Smith and his only sister, Jo Ann Smith Barwick.

He leaves behind one brother, Harold Smith (Deborah), Dublin, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from the graveside in Dublin Memorial Park with Reverend Milton Thomas officiating.

His family will receive friends, on Saturday, at the gravesite.
