Mr. Dennis Edward Powell, age 70, of Soperton passed away at his home on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2020

Born in Dublin, he grew up in Laurens County and the Orlando, Florida area. Mr. Powell had worked as a Building Contractor in Orlando for many years until retiring and moving to Soperton in 1987.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emory Claxton and Ollie Kay Coleman Powell and a daughter, Shannon Powell.

He leaves behind, his wife, Debby Long Powell, Cadwell, GA, three children, Jessica Sawyer (Ricardo), Genea Powell and Jason Vaughan; a brother, Ricky Powell, a sister, Kathy Newberry, six grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, Layla, Dexirae, Jaszmyn and Xavier, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Powell will be laid to rest at a later date.
