Dianne Bridges Hester, age 67 former longtime resident of Soperton passed away at Community Hospice in Vidalia on Monday afternoon, August 27, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Donny Crosby and Reverend Arthur Conley officiating.

Mrs. Hester will be laid to rest in Westview Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the hour of service.

Born in Vidalia, she was one of twelve children born to the late George Mitchell Bridges Sr. and Leanna Bell Phillips Bridges. She grew up in Soperton and was a graduate of Treutlen County High School. She had lived in Dublin for many years where she worked for Edenfield Catering before returning to Treutlen County in 2016.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husbands, Archie Love and Donovan "Slim" Walker Sr., a son, Daniel Curd Walker, three sisters, Debra Bridges, Gladys Waters, Janice Lord, two brothers, Curtis Phillips, Doyle Bridges.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Billy Hugh Allen, Soperton, sons, Daryl Dwayne Love (Shannon), Norristown, Donovan Walker Jr. (Tiffany), Soperton, her daughter, Angela Dianne Love Woodard (Boone), Dublin, sisters, Martha Smith (Frank), Gray, GA, Priscilla Bridges Heyer (Floyd, deceased) and Sula Webb (Charles), all of Soperton, brothers, Delton Bridges (Margaret), Soperton, Mitchell Bridges (Sandy), Soperton, Paul Bridges (Rebecca), Uvalda, GA, grandchildren, Travis Woodard, Shelby Walker, Rebecca Anderson, Kassie Love, Blake Walker, Erika Love, Austin Love, Chloe Walker, Keith McKenzie, Abigale Walker and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Jesse Sasnett, Huey Walker Jr., Donny Myers, Kalub Hall, Clint Walker and Brett Erieg.
