Mr. Donald O'Conner, age 52, of Mount Vernon died Saturday, January 23, 2016.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, with Pastor Doyle Waller officiating. Burial was in Cooper Cemetery, Montgomery County.

Mr. O'Conner was born in Wheeler County and was preceded in death by his parents, Claybourn and Lucille Stone O'Conner and his sister, Vonnell O'Conner Powell. He was a former employee of Browning Mulch, Ailey.

Survivors include his children, Vincent O'Conner of Lyons, Jeremy O'Conner, Missy O'Conner, and Chelsie O'Conner, all of Mount Vernon; sister, Margaret (Danny) Horne of Soperton; brothers, Bobby (Sue) O'Conner of Mount Vernon, Jack (Donna) O'Conner of Rentz, and James O'Conner of Conley; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Anthony Powell, Randy O'Conner, Brendon Shae, Wayne Cooper, Wesley Cooper and Nick Wiek.
