Mrs. Donna Faye Hester, age 77, beloved wife of Gilbert Hester, of Soperton, passed away on Sunday morning, March 10, 2019 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Born in Columbus, GA she is the last living child born to the late Grover Cleveland Smith and Lenna Mae Grainger Smith.

Upon coming to Soperton in the mid 2000's she met and married Gilbert Hester.

She enjoyed playing the harmonica, working crossword puzzles and rides with Gilbert near his old home place in the Red Bluff Community and out to Lake Helen.

Mrs. Hester was a member of Hebron Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

She leaves behind; her husband, Gilbert Hester, Soperton, GA, a son, Franklin Lee Faircloth, Ocilla, GA, grandchildren, Franklin Lee Guyton Faircloth (Maranda), presently serving in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Hood, TX, Donna Faircloth, Christopher White and former daughter in law, Denise Faircloth of Ocilla, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Hebron Holiness Church with Sister June Scott officiating.

Her family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall where a meal will be provided by the ladies of Hebron Holiness Church.
