Mr. Donnie Kittrell, age 60, former longtime resident of Tarrytown passed away on Tuesday morning, April 9, 2024 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Born in Soperton, he was the only son and eldest of two children born to Roberta Ann Foskey Kittrell and  the late Delma Kittrell.  Donnie grew up in Tarrytown and attended School in Treutlen County.  After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  Upon being honorably discharged he worked in residential construction for approximately fifteen years before becoming a truck driver.  He drove over the road for a number of years before deciding to stay close to home and haul timber.

Donnie enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the Earnhardt NASCAR racing team.

As a child, he had attended Tarrytown Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Denise Kittrell and a son, Dana Scott Kittrell.

Donnie leaves behind, his mother, Ann Foskey Couey, Dublin, GA, his son, Blake Phillips (Krista), Adrian, GA, his brother, Stacey Couey (Leslie), East Dublin, GA, grandchildren, Dana Kittrell, Danica Kittrell, Angela Phillips, Melony Binion, Kevin Binion, Cayden Thompson and nieces and nephews, Dustin Kittrell, April Rogers, Taylor Couey, Spencer Couey and Savannah Couey.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024 from the graveside in Tarrytown Cemetery with Reverend Jason Corbett officiating.

His family will receive friends at the graveside, prior to and following the service.
