Mrs. Donnie Hue McDaniel, 78, of Orange Park, FL passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Macon, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Inelle Spivey Chance, and a brother, James Chance.

In 1971 she moved to Orange Park from Brunswick, Maine.  She worked with Civil Service for ten years and retired from the office of Dr. Reginald Davis, MD in Orange Park after twenty years.  Donnie was a member of First Baptist Church in Orange Park where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She was dedicated to her family, a member of the Red Hat Society, and was an accomplished watercolor artist.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-eight years, Esra McDaniel, two sons, Rusty (Robbin) McDaniel and Greg (Saana) McDaniel, sister, Alvina "Bea" Chance, and was "Nanny" to six grandchildren, Erica Dawn, Erica Michelle, Victoria, Max, Alex, and Iris, and five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Alexia, Maddy, Carter and Cooper.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the First Baptist Church of Orange Park with Reverend David Tarkington officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.

Additional graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in Thigpen Cemetery in Rockledge, Georgia.
