Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Hall Morris, age 97, of Adrian, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, August 18, 2021 under the care of Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in 1924, she was the daughter of Harvey and Levada Spence Hall.  Mrs. Dot was a lifelong resident of Adrian, Georgia. She worked for 35 years at JP Stevens Woolen Mill on the same shift operating the same machinery.

Mrs. Dot loved cooking, fishing and boating. In more recent years, she became very fond of puzzle books. She was the 2020 Grand Marshall of the Adrian Christmas Parade. She was well known by Adrian residents for famously sitting on her porch. Mrs. Dot was a wealth of local knowledge and loved by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Thomas Ralph Morris, her brothers, Homer Hall, Morris Foskey, and Joel Key, her sisters, Zelma Knowles, Myrtice Hall, Avis Palmer, and Jackie Meeks.

She leaves behind two sons and daughters in law, Wayne Morris (Wrena), of Adrian, GA and Jerry Morris (Lorraine) of Swainsboro, GA, five grandchildren, Gene Morris, Jamie Morris, Amy Whitaker, Stefanie Spann, and Danton Morris, nine great-grandchildren, Kaylin Jackson, Hunter Whitaker, Mason Spann, Jordan Morris, Jesley Snellgrove, Hannah Whitaker, Weslyn Snellgrove, Jaxon Spann, and Calli Morris, and five great-great-grandchildren, Sadie Whitaker, Parker Whitaker, River Whitaker, Brintley Jackson, and Lakeland Jackson.

Pallbearers: Gene Morris, Danton Morris, Jordan Morris, Phillip Morris, Jim Palmer, and Hunter Whitaker.

Graveside services will be at 4 pm on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, with Reverends Tommy Veal and L.T. Logue officiating.
