Mr. Edison Price, age 96 of Soperton passed away on Tuesday evening, June 30, 2020 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Georgia.

Born in Soperton he was the eldest of three children born to the late Virgil and Gladys Jackson Price. He and his siblings grew up here and he moved to Riverdale, GA in 1956. Mr. Price worked as a Carpenter for many years in the residential construction industry around Atlanta until retiring and returning to Treutlen County in 1987.

Mr. Price enjoyed yardwork, maintaining the yards on his property, gardening and reading his Bible.

He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Irma Pollette, three sons, Eddie Tyrone Price, Ronnie Lester Price, Danny Lamar Price and a daughter, Brenda Susan Maddox.

He leaves behind a son, Ricky Price (Janice Ann), Soperton, GA, a brother, Jack Price (Linda), Brunswick, GA, thirteen grandchildren, thirty eight great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Beasley officiating.

Mr. Price will be laid to rest beside his parents in the Copeland Cemetery in Treutlen County.

His family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

Anyone attending the events at the funeral home will be required to wear facial coverings and practice social distancing. The funeral home will provide hand sanitizer.
