Mr. Fred Lumpkin, age 64 of Adrian passed away on Thursday morning, January 13, 2022 at Shamrock Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dublin.

Born in Treutlen County, he was the youngest of seven children born to the late Morris and Elnor Atkinson Lumpkin.  Mr. Lumpkin was a lifelong resident of Adrian and the Soperton area.  He had worked in a saw mill during the 1970s, worked with Emanual County as a Heavy Equipment Operator, was an "over the road" truck driver and retired from the City of Adrian.  He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, either of the Earnhardts and working with arts and crafts.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Roy Lumpkin, Betty Ann Morison, J. L. Lumpkin and Eddie Lumpkin.

Mr. Lumpkin leaves behind, two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Lumpkin, both of Soperton, a special nephew, Wayne Lumpkin and his wife, Kat, East Dublin, GA, several other nieces and nephews, a great nephew, Cross Lumpkin and his pet dog "Fuzzy".

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 17, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend L. T. Logue officiating.

Mr. Lumpkin will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Norristown.

His family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
