Mrs. Freida Coker, age 62, of Hortense died Sunday, February, 5, 2017.

Mrs. Coker was born in Orlando, FL and was preceded in death by her birth father, Bobby Talley, and her parents, Johnnie Wheeler, Sr. and Beth King Wheeler.  She lived in Treutlen County for many years before moving to Hortense.  She was a homemaker and attended Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Treutlen County.

Survivors include her children, Jennie (David) Elliott of Hortense, Johnnie Coker of Savannah, and Lisa (Brad) Barwick of Swainsboro; sisters, Carolyn Harrell of Port Charlotte, FL, Michelle (Paul) Beasley of Soperton, and Cindy (Stancil) Ward of Slocomb, AL; brother, Johnnie (Melanie) Wheeler, Jr. of Soperton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 9, with the Reverend Daniel Gasser officiating.  Burial will be in Tarrytown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before services on Thursday.
