Mr. Gary Stacy Collins, age 54 of Tarrytown passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 3, 2022 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

Born in Soperton on May 28, 1968, he was one of three sons born to Gary Carl and Cleo Foskey Collins.  He grew up and lived most of his life in Tarrytown.  Stacy was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, Class of 1986.  After high school he attended East Georgia College where he completed a two year degree in Digital Electronics.  He then enrolled at South Eastern Technical College in Vidalia and received his diploma as an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic.  Stacy worked as a Paramedic in Treutlen, Johnson and Wheeler Counties while continuing his pursuits in the medical field, attending Middle Georgia College where he became a Registered Respiratory Therapist.  He joined Emanuel County Medical Center in 2006 where he worked in Respiratory Therapy as well as working part time at Tattnall County Hospital in Reidsville.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, visiting the North Geogia, North Carolina and Tennessee mountains and any time he could spend with his son, grandbabies and family.

Stacy was a member of the Zaidee Advent Christian Church.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emitt and Juanita Collins, his maternal grandparents, John Mardy and Lizzie Norris Foskey, aunts, Inell Harris, Lois Brantley and Leodias Evans, a niece, Hannah Collins and several other aunts and uncles.

Stacy leaves behind his son, Dustin Collins (Autumn), Santa Claus, GA, his parents, Gary and Cleo Foskey Collins, two brothers, Tony and Marty Collins, grandchildren, Raelyn Collins, Zoey Johnson, Hailee Newell, Payton Newell, nieces and nephews, Mandy Williams (Justin), Sarah Collins, Jacob Collins, Gabe Collins, and a great niece, Ellie Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Reverend Dale Wilkerson officiating.

Mr. Collins will be laid to rest in the Zaidee Advent Christian Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends on Monday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.

Serving as pallbearers will be:  Justin Williams, Joe King, Mikey Milton, Clint Brantley, Chris Meeks and Randall Meeks.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Murray Barwick and Jimmy Maddox.
