Mr. Gary Williams Roberts, age 80, of Ashburn, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at his residence.

Born on March 5, 1944 in Tampa, Florida, he was a son of the late Jack and Latrelle Branch Roberts.  Gary had worked as a School Bus Driver for the Turner County Board of Education as well as a a Master Mechanic with Ford Motor Company for many years.  Up retiring from Ford, he accepted (his dream job) as a Trolley Driver for Dollywood Amusement Park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

He was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying a day of hunting or fishing.

Mr. Roberts was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Sharpe Roberts and two sons, Barry and Ricky Matthews.

Mr. Roberts leaves behind, his daughter, Gail D. Maddox, Dublin, GA, two sons, Theron "Ted" Ross Roberts, Ashburn, GA, Roy A. Mathews (Alma), Middleburg, FL, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 from the graveside in the Hutcheson Cemetery, near Soperton, GA with Pastor Larry Hammock officiating.
