Mrs. Geraldine Foskey Newbold, age 89 of Adrian, Georgia passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at her beloved home.
Born in Adrian, she is the last living of six children born to the late Gardner Roscoe and Florence Chance Foskey. She attended school in Johnson County and was a graduate of Adrian High School. Except for a short time living in Warner Robins; she was a lifelong resident of the Adrian area. She had lived in Warner Robins for a short time where she worked with the Anchor Glass Company. Upon returning to Johnson County, she worked as a Seamstress at the Shirt Factory in Adrian before working at Apparelcraft Inc. in Wrightsville, from where she retired.
She enjoyed listening to and playing gospel music and performed with her husband, Roger Newbold at local nursing homes and hospitals. Her family had been long time members at Smith Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, which was located adjacent to their family farmstead. Mrs. Newbold enjoyed gardening, yard sales, ceramics and collecting dolls.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Sonny Hudgins, Jessie "Junior" Dennis, Roger Earl Newbold, a son, Carlton Glenn Hudgins, her siblings, Louise Lizzie Foskey, Robert Lee Foskey, Hazel Foskey, William Edgar Foskey, Lee Roy Foskey and nephews, Ronnie Lee Foskey and Donald Gene Foskey.
She leaves behind, her children, Katherine Michelle Dennis, Adrian, GA, Lisa Ann Kopilchak (Mike), Winter Haven, FL, Timmy Feichtel (Stephanie), Polk City, FL, nephews, neices, great nephews and neices and great great nephews and neices.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Foskey Cemetery, GA Highway 15, Adrian at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2024 with Reverend Milton Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Newbold will be laid to rest beside her latest husband, Roger Newbold.
Her family will receive friends, prior to and following the service, at the graveside on Friday.
