Mrs. Geraldine "Geri" Roberts, age 84, of Ashburn, Georgia passed away peacefully at the Wilson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.

Born in Columbia, SC, she was one of five children born in her family.  She grew up and attended school in Columbia.  In 1966 she married, Ashburn native, Gary Roberts and they made their first home in the Savannah area.  Over their years together they lived in Sevierville, TN, Key West, Jacksonville, Orange Park and St. Augustine, Florida before settling in Ashburn in 2016.  Her husband, Gary, had worked for over thirty six years with the Ford Motor Company; with over thirty of those years in the Jacksonville area.   When living in the St. Augustine area Geri and Gary attended Ward's Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings, Roosevelt "Rose" Sharpe, Malachi "Mac" Sharpe, Jeanette Nola, a son, Ricky Matthews and her former husband, Ross Matthews.

Mrs. Roberts leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Gary Roberts, children, Barry Matthews (Sharon), Ashburn, GA, Roy Mathews (Alma), Middleburg, FL, Gail Maddox, Dublin, GA, Theron "Ted" Roberts, Anderson, SC, a brother, Leland "Bill" Sharpe, Ashburn, GA, fifteen grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, GA.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 pm until the hour of service.

Mrs. Roberts will be laid to rest in Hutcheson Cemetery.
