Mrs. Gwendolyn Elswick, age 90, wife of the late Ervin C. "Blue" Elswick passed away on Thursday morning, February 1, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Beasley, officiating.

Mrs. Elswick will be laid to rest beside her husband in Holton Chapel Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service.

Born in Soperton, she was the last living of seven children born to the late Avie Lester "Doc" Henry and Mary Naomi Holton Henry. Mrs. Elswick had made her home in Soperton for the majority of her lifetime.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by three sons, Tyrone, Danny and Ronnie, a daughter, Brenda, her brothers, Wilburn and Bob as well as her sisters, Ann Joyce, Shirley and Joan.

Survivors include her son, Ricky Price and his wife, Janice of Soperton, GA, daughters-in-law, Kathy and Janet Price, a son-in-law, Jerry Maddox, three brothers-in-law and 29 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Wooten, Marvin Harness, Cody Harrell, Jason Beasley, Brad Poole, Darick Anderson, Tim Henry and Dawson Beasley.
