Gwendolyn Febus – Aponte, age 43 of Adrian passed away on Friday evening, August 13, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

Born in Dublin she was the eldest of three children in the family.  Raised in Soperton by her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Inez Turner Beck and an uncle, Bernon Beck; she was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, Class of 1995.  Gwen had worked at Vidalia Glass for a period of time before becoming a Contractor working as a Senior Customer Support Consultant and Supervisor.

She had attended Blackville Church of God and most recently the Soperton Church of God.

Gwen enjoyed singing; especially gospel and was active on the SMULE network of musicians and singers.

Gwen leaves behind her husband, David Febus – Aponte, Adrian, GA, her children, Zachary Lane Gillis, Adrian, GA, Ariel Harriett Gillis, Soperton, GA, Emily Elizabeth Alvarado, Adrian, GA, her mother, Becky Beck Hilton (Jimmy), Soperton, GA, a brother, Justin Williams (Ashley), Uvalda, GA, a sister, Marie Teruel Cordry, Wrightsville, GA, a grand daughter, Soraya Elizabeth Sterling and many loving extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 am, from the graveside in Westview Cemetery, with Pastor Greg Lowery officiating.

Her family will receive friends at the graveside on Tuesday or friends may call at her home.
