Mr. Harry Truman Gillis, age 70, of Soperton died Thursday, February 18, 2106.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 20, with the Reverend W. L. Currie officiating. Burial was in Westview Cemetery, Soperton.

Pallbearers were Byron Brantley, Brian Graham, Tony Graham, Andy Hardy, Tommy Hardy, and Phillip Lewis.

Mr. Gillis was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eloise Graham Gillis. He was retired from Graham Construction Company, East Dublin.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Jones Gillis; children, Dwayne (Cindy) Gillis and Denise Gillis, all of Soperton; eight grandchildren, Zachary Gillis, Ariel Gillis, Thomas King, Jr., Tyler Gillis, Jaime Teruel, Lucas Teruel, Lucky Teruel, and Jenna McLain; two great-grandchildren, Timmy McLain and Andy McLain; sister, Marilyn (Gary) Henry of Soperton; aunt, Dorothy Nell (Paul) Burns of Soperton; and several nieces and nephews.
