Obituary

Mr. Jack Graham Sanders, age 85, beloved husband of Eudell Kight Sanders of Dublin, passed away on Monday morning, August 29, 2022 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

A native and lifelong resident of Dublin, he was the son of the late Jule and Flossie Graham Sanders.  Mr. Sanders attended and was a graduate of Dudley High School.  He worked for the City of Dublin as a Firefighter retiring in the early 2000s as a Sergeant.  During his years as a Firefighter, he was a mentor to many aspiring new inductees.  As a teenager he had started working in the Automotive and Marine Upholstery business with Robert Sanders of Dublin.  He continued working in the automotive upholstery business, at Smith's Automotive, on days off from the fire department for over forty years.

Mr. Sanders was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and annual trips to the Santee Cooper River in South Carolina.

He was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, East Dublin, GA.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, James, Clarence and Eulas Sanders, a sister, Mary Smith, sister in laws, Margaret Byrd and her husband Jay, Miriam Carter and husband, Francis and a niece, Mary Alice Howard.

Mr. Sanders leaves behind, his wife of thirty nine years, Eudell Kight Sanders, Dublin, GA, a special niece, Taylor Carter-Dean (Drake), Jacksonville, FL, sister in laws, Ruby Nelle Black, Elsie Black, other nieces and nephews, Judy Wrye (Randall), Rhonda Wrye, Ken Sanders, Melanie Sanders, Alicia Howell (Chris), Jordan Jowell, Joy Brown (David), Michelle Brown-Dickens (Sammy), Ridge Brown-Dickens, Michael Carter, Thomas Carter, Tucker Carter, Krystal McCranie (Matt), Kinsley McCranie, Ridge McCranie and David Howard.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Pleasant Springs Baptist Church, East Dublin with Pastor Keith Collins officiating.

Mr. Sanders will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Firefighter honors performed by the City of Dublin Fire Department.

The members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers and be seated as a special group.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
