Mr. Jackey "Jack", "J.W.", William Peebles, age 84, of Soperton passed away on Thursday morning, May 21, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta.

Born in Soperton, he was one of four children and the last living child born to the late Thomas Anderson and Beulah Foskey Peebles. Mr. Peebles worked as a Master Plumber and Master Electrician for many years in the Treutlen County area. For the past ten years he has made Swainsboro his home.

He enjoyed fishing and had been a member at Thigpen Chapel Church.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Marie.

He leaves behind his wife Louise Phillips Peebles, children, Jackey Peebles Jr., Jimmy Peebles and Patricia Peebles of Jesup, GA, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the graveside in Thigpen Chapel Cemetery at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 22, 2020 with Reverend William Conley officiating.

His family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home.

Based on the CDC guidelines and recommendations pertaining to the COVID -19 pandemic, the use of PPE and social distancing is requested.
