Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Brock Jr., age 60, beloved husband of Brenda Fay Ellis Brock of Soperton passed away on Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2026 at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Born in Marietta, he was the middle child of three born to the late James Edward Brock and Ada Jean Cowart Brock.  Growing up in the Atlanta area, he graduated from Lithia Springs Christian Academy before pursuing studies in Criminal Justice at Bauder College in Atlanta and Strayer University in Douglasville.  Jimmy was a master craftsman that would tackle and complete any residential building job.  He worked for many years in Kennesaw and Savannah maintaining  rental properties for Plains Investment Properties before relocating to Soperton.  Upon settling in Treutlen County in 2024, he continued his trade maintaining residential and commercial rental properties and having them ready for the new tenants.

Jimmy enjoyed fishing, grilling and trips to Tybee Island.  He was a familiar face on the drums with "Mid Town Pickers" and was always ready for an impromptu jam session.

Mr. Brock leaves behind, his wife of thirty years, Brenda Ellis Brock, Soperton, GA; children, Wesley Brock, Soperton, GA, Kayla Brock, Lake City, FL, Jeremy Brock, Lake City, FL, Heather Brock, Soperton, GA, Amber Brock, Canton, GA; siblings, Darrell Brock, Denver, CO, Phyllis Roberts, Mableton, GA; seven grandchildren and two nephews.
