Mr. James Clive "J.C." Darley, age 96, of Soperton died Monday January 2, 2017.

Mr. Darley was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Rosa Lee Lawson Darley, his wife of sixty-seven years, Ruby Pierce Darley, six sisters and three brothers. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver and attended Soperton United Methodist Church. His favorite pastime was being with his horses.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Kenneth Sweat of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Kim (Charles) Greenway of Wrightsville and Vicki (Eric) Hein of Newnan; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Greenway, Kendall Greenway, and Ella Rae Hein, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the Soperton United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, with Reverend John Drake officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before services on Wednesday.
