Mr. James "Jimmy" Howard Gress III, age 70 of Adrian passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the eldest of five children born to Betty Lee Taylor Gress and the late James Howard Gress Jr. Mr. Gress was a graduate of Catonsville High School, Class of 1967. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict. He had worked as a truck driver and a cook at the Spring Grove Hospital in Catonsville. He came to Georgia over 20 years ago and worked for Bassett Furniture at the assembly plant.

He was an antique enthusiast and collected cars and motorcycles.

Mr. Gress enjoyed church, singing in the choir and his memberships at Trinity Assembly of God and Blackville Church of God.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ross.

He leaves behind his mother, Betty Lee Gress, Catonsville, MD, two sisters, Gail Harris, Glen Rock, PA, Cathy Wilson (Richard), Catonsville, MD, a brother, Steven Gress (Julie), Westminster, MD and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in his home town of Catonsville, Maryland.
