Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Joiner, age 75 of Soperton passed away on Thursday morning, October 15, 2020 at the Treutlen County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Soperton.

Born in Laurens County, he was the youngest of two sons born to the late Ocie Floyd and Ruby Pearl McLendon Joiner. He grew up in Soperton and was a graduate of Soperton High School. Mr. Joiner had worked for the United States Food and Drug Administration as a Meat Inspector until retiring in 2018.

He leaves behind his brother, Ocie Franklin Joiner, Soperton, GA, a nephew, Mitchell F. Joiner, Augusta, GA, two nieces, Belle Fouts (Douglas), Monte Ray, CA, Debbie Koon (John), Soperton, GA and several great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Joiner will be laid to rest, in the family plot, in the Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery, near the Meeks Community.
