Mr. James A. "Jimmy" Scott, age 65, of Adrian died Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Mr. Scott was born in Jesup and was preceded in death by his mother, Zelma Ree Beasley Scott. He was retired from Southeast Paper Company, East Dublin, after thirty-three years and attended Norristown Revival Center, Emanuel County.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Diane Lyles Scott; children, Paul (Suzanne) Scott of Meansville, GA, Jamey (Trixie) Scott of Dublin, and Richard Scott of Adrian; grandchildren, Jade (Josh) Bell, Garren Scott, Reese Scott, Jaron Scott, Braden Scott, Colton Scott, Emma Grace Scott, and Perry Scott; father, James Roy Scott of Soperton; sisters, Joanne (Hugh) McGhee of Arab, AL, Joyce (Kenneth) Toler of Dublin, and Jean Scott of Soperton; brother, Johnny Roy (June) Scott of Tarrytown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, with Pastor Jack Stafford, Brother David McNeil, and Brother Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in Kea's Cemetery, Emanuel County.

Pallbearers will be Garren Scott, Reese Scott, Jaron Scott, Braden Scott, Colton Scott, Perry Scott, and James "Buddy" Ipock.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
