Mr. James Collins, Sr., age 72, of Vidalia died Thursday, September 8, 2016.

Mr. Collins was born in Akron, Ohio and was a son of the late Harry and Ruby Bashaw Collins. He lived most of his life in Lakeland, FL and was retired from the Coca Cola Company in Auburndale, FL. He was a Naval Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served on the USS Plunger.

Survivors include his children, Gloria (David) Harris and Patricia Croka, all of Patterson, and a son, Jamie Collins of Vidalia; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; one sister and two brothers.

There will be no services.
