Mr. Jamie Antonio Teruel Jr., age 62 of Soperton passed away on Monday morning, September 6, 2021 at Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia.

Born in Tampa, FL he was one of three children born to the late Jamie A Teruel Sr. and Jeannette Powell Graham.  As a young child the family moved to Soperton where he was raised by Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Powell of Treutlen County.   He attended Treutlen County High School and as a teenager worked with an uncle that owned a construction business.  He developed a love for construction and running heavy equipment which resulted in a lifetime of working in Commercial Construction; most recently with Graham Brothers in East Dublin.  Jamie retired in 2002.

He enjoyed hobby class stock car racing, raising chickens, fishing and trapping.

He is preceded in death by his parents; the Teruels and the Powells, a step father, Horace Graham and his oldest daughter, Gwen Teruel Febus-Aponte.

Jamie leaves behind his wife, Denise Teruel, Soperton, GA, his children, Melanie Teruel Coxwell (John), Vidalia, GA, Amber Foskey Graham (John), Jamie Foskey (Hannah), Dusty Foskey (Haley), all of Dublin, Matthew Teruel (Anna), Jamie Harry Teruel, Lucas Teruel, Lucky Teruel, T.J. King and Tyler Gillis, all of Soperton, siblings, Dorothy Love (George), Soperton, GA, Willie Powell (Dee), Dublin, GA, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from the graveside in Westview Cemetery with Reverends Josh Wood and Owen Waters officiating.

His family will receive friends on Saturday at the graveside.
