Mr. James David Warden, age 73 of San Antonio, TX passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at his home in San Antonio, TX.

Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was a son of  the late Claude Leroy Warden and Blondell Bracewell Warden.  He was a graduate of Luther Burbank High School in Austin, TX and earned his Bachelors Degree from Wayland Baptist College in Plainview, TX.   Mr. Warden served in the United States Navy; achieving the rank of Petty Officer before retiring.  After retiring he worked for Pilot and Petro Truck Centers as well as other local convenience stores in and around San Antonio.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, James David Warden II.

Mr. Warden leaves behind: his wife of 53 years, Sara Lane Taylor Goldbaum Warden, two sons, Claude Leroy Warden III, Jarrod Everett Warden, all of San Antonio, TX, a brother, Claude Leroy Warden Jr., Bennettsville, SC, three cousins, Juanita Powell White Swint, Bishop, GA, Jewell Powell Fountain, Vidalia, GA, Elizabeth Browning Galloway, Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from the graveside in Bracewell Cemetery, Glenwood, GA where Mr. Warden will be laid to rest beside his son.
