Obituary

Mrs. Janice Meeks White Rogers, age 67, of East Dublin died Thursday, January 14, 2016.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, with Sister June Scott and Reverend Hugh Spivey officiating. Burial was in Red Bluff Cemetery, Treutlen County.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Treutlen County where she lived most of her life before moving to East Dublin three years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. T. and Imogene Weeks Meeks; husbands, Donnie Hugh White and LaFaye Rogers, Sr.; son, Donnie Wade White; brother, Alan Meeks; and sister, Sue Ann Hall. She was retired from Woolrich Manufacturing Company, Soperton. She was a member of Snow Hill Church of God and attended Soperton Pentecostal Holiness Church and Resurrection Assembly of God Church, East Dublin.

Survivors include her children, Hugh (Shirley) White, Jeanie (Sam, Jr.) Spivey, and Teresa White, all of East Dublin; daughter-in-law, Debbie White of Lyons; step-children, Neal (Katie) Rogers of Soperton, Jimmy Rogers of Macon, LaFaye (Phyllis) Rogers, Jr. and Wayne Rogers, all of Tennessee; brothers, Don (Dianne) Edge, Lee (Martha) Meeks, and Tony (Donna) Meeks, all of Soperton; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Neal Rogers, Jr., Boone Wilkes, Billy Williamson, Keith Edge, Mitchell Tanner, and Quincy Phillips.
