Mrs. Jean H. Waldhauer, age 54, beloved wife of John R. Waldhauer, Jr. of Soperton, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 19, 2018 at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Soperton United Methodist Church.

Her family will receive friends following the service at a reception to be held in the church fellowship hall.

Jean was born in Savannah, Georgia; one of five children born to the late Gordon R. and Catherine Lamond Ferguson. She grew up in Savannah where she graduated from Chatham County High School. Since 1988 she has been a resident of Soperton where she worked with the Treutlen County Board of Education as a Pre K Administrative Assistant. In February of 1999 she married Savannah native, John Waldhauer Jr.

Jean enjoyed crafts and her membership at the Soperton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, John, two sons, Adam Ferguson of Soperton and John R. Waldhauer III of Virginia. She also leaves behind, her three brothers, Jimmy, Douglas of Savannah and Ken Ferguson of Glenwood, GA, her sister, Susan Taylor of Glenwood, GA, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
